The NAD MDC2 BluOS-D is part of the brand's modular range, allowing the addition of Dirac Live sound correction, high-resolution audio streaming via BluOS, multi-room and much more to compatible products. The MDC2 is capable of passing signals in both directions between the module and the host device.

The NAD MDC2 BluOS-D is compatible with the NAD C399 amplifier.

Dirac Live room correction

The MDC2 BluOS-D adds a room correction function using the proven Dirac Live technology. This allows you to use the supplied calibrated microphone in combination with the intuitive Dirac Live application to analyze the acoustics of your listening room and make corrections. The MDC2 BluOS-D module is capable of storing 5 Dirac profiles depending on your position and listening conditions.

In addition to effectively correcting for peaks and valleys in frequency response, Dirac Live optimizes impulse response by learning how sounds reflect off the surfaces of your room. The result is an impressive improvement in bass clarity, soundstage and timbral accuracy.

BluOS audio streaming

The MDC2 BluOS-D, as the name suggests, features BluOS-based high-resolution music streaming. Available on iOS, MacOS, Android and Windows, the BluOS Controller application provides access to hundreds of web radios and over 20 streaming services. Like all BluOS products, the BluOS-D MDC2 module supports high-resolution playback up to PCM 24bit 192kHz, as well as MQA decoding and playback. The playback can also be controlled by a voice assistant such as Alexa or Google Assistant and not even a home automation system.

A module that stands the test of time

The NAD MDC2 BluOS-D not only takes advantage of the latest WiFi and Ethernet protocols, but also supports AirPlay2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and even includes a two-way Bluetooth function with aptX HD. The module also has a USB-A input, allowing you to connect a USB storage device.
