The 5881 tube is the electrical equivalent of the 6L6 and 6L6G tubes, except that the dissipation plate and screen values are increased by about 20%. The design of this tube also provides better shock and vibration resistance. The use of treated grids and anode also improves the tube's overload capabilities for longer life.
