Connectivity & other features

On the connector side, the FA251 offers a balanced analog input and output in XLR 3-pin format and an unbalanced RCA Stereo input. The XLR output is directly connected to the XLR input and therefore allows you to create a chain with multiples FusionAMPs, the maximum number of modules being limited by the capabilities of your source. Moreover, the module has a High Level input for analog amplified signals.

This FusionAMP FA251 includes a DSP. A USB connector allows you to configure your amplifier via the software specially developed by Hypex. The latter offers many possibilities to adapt your amplifier to your needs, such as creating custom filters.

When associated to a HYPEX FUSION REMOTE KIT FA251 amplifier module can receive commands from an infrared remote. This module also has a remote output to chain remote commands with other Hypex Fusionamp modules, allowing to control a whole complex installation from a single central remote.

The front of the amplifier displays a series of 4 status LEDs. The first one is used to warn of a malfunction or when a limit is reached, in order not to damage the equipment.

• Fixed green : Amplifier power on
• Blinking green : IR signal received
• Green / red blinking : Clipping signal
• Slow green blinking : Mute mode (output not workink)
• Fixed red : DC Error/ Fatal error, amplifier shutdown
• Blinking one time per second : High temperature, limited output
• blinking two time per second : Over temperature, output not working

The next 3 LEDs, green, simply display the selected custom profile and therefore in use. To change the profile, simply press the Select button. If the amplifier is in mute mode, then the LED of the selected profile will flash slowly.
