MOONDROP EVO2 Bluetooth Receiver for 0.78mm 2-Pin CIEM Earphones
The Moondrop EVO II is an ear-hook Bluetooth receiver designed to turn compatible wired earphones into a wireless system. It supports the LDAC, LC3 and LHDC-V codecs, and integrates two microphones per receiver with ENC noise reduction for calls.
Intended for portable listening as well as mobile gaming, it combines high-definition audio transmission, a 60 ms low-latency mode and wireless controls. Its autonomy reaches 15 hours per charge, extended by up to 45 hours with the case, which also protects the receivers and earphones during transport.
Moondrop EVO II: Bluetooth LDAC
The Moondrop EVO II supports several transmission protocols to adapt to the capabilities of the Bluetooth source. LDAC transmits a high-definition signal up to 24 bits / 96 kHz, while the LC3 and LHDC-V protocols extend compatibility with devices supporting these codecs. The choice of protocol depends on the source used and allows the transmission to be adjusted to listening requirements.
Moondrop EVO II: Low-latency gaming mode
For mobile gaming, the dedicated mode reduces latency to 60 ms to limit the offset between images and sound effects. This closer synchronization makes it easier to follow the sounds associated with the action, particularly in games where audio responsiveness contributes to understanding the scene.
Moondrop EVO II: Call noise reduction
Each receiver integrates two microphones combined with beamforming ENC processing. The system uses their pickups to distinguish the voice from ambient noise, then attenuates the latter during calls. This approach aims to preserve speech intelligibility when the user is in a noisy environment.
Moondrop EVO II: Autonomy
The receivers offer up to 15 hours of listening per charge, while the case provides up to 45 hours of additional use. This reserve allows less frequent recharging and use of the EVO II over several days, depending on listening volume and usage conditions.
Moondrop EVO II: Reinforced case and receiver protection
The charging case features a shock- and water-resistant design to better protect the receivers during transport and travel. Inside, felt inserts and soft contact areas limit friction against the earphones and help prevent scratches, while their retention reduces movement during storage. This design thus combines external protection and internal retention, allowing the whole set to be carried without exposing the receivers to repeated contact.
