The SHANLING CD50 is a CD player designed for playback of CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs, while integrating a Cirrus Logic CS43198 digital-to-analog converter and a dual SGM8262 headphone amplifier. Its transport mechanism equipped with an HD850 laser ensures precise CD playback with support for gapless playback, while its 2.2-inch color display and front-panel buttons provide direct access to the device's settings and functions, which can also be controlled using the supplied remote control. The CD50 features an RCA analog output that can be used as a Line Out or preamplifier output, as well as coaxial and optical digital outputs. For headphone listening, it offers two outputs, a 3.5mm single-ended jack and a 4.4mm balanced jack, the latter delivering up to 830mW at 32Ω, compared to 210mW at 32Ω for the 3.5mm output.
