With the Conductor Voyager, Burson Audio offers a high-end DAC, headphone amplifier and preamplifier. It features an ESS9039PRO DAC capable of processing PCM streams up to 32bit 768kHz and native DSD512, supported by an XMOS USB interface and a discrete dual-mono analogue section. Its Class A amplification delivers up to 10 W thanks to Onsemi MJE15032 transistors, ensuring compatibility with even the most demanding headphones. Its connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.0 compatible with LDAC and aptX HD, as well as a dedicated subwoofer output for versatile integration.
The Conductor Voyager is based on an ESS9039PRO DAC chip, a high-performance converter that Burson uses in a particularly sophisticated configuration. The analogue section of the DAC benefits from I/V conversion and low-pass filtering in a dual mono architecture, with each channel processed separately to optimise separation and limit interference. This part is handled by Burson V6 operational amplifiers, chosen for their linearity and low noise level.
The digital interface is based on an XMOS USB controller, whose integration ensures stable and accurate management of high-resolution streams. The combination of the ESS DAC, discrete analogue stage and USB module allows the Conductor Voyager to support PCM signals up to 32bit 768 kHz as well as native DSD512, meeting the most demanding formats.

The amplification section of the Conductor Voyager follows Burson's traditional philosophy: power, stability and pure class A. Each channel is built around four Onsemi MJE15032 transistors, operating under high bias to maintain full class A operation. This topology provides significant current headroom and a highly responsive response.
The available power reaches 10W, allowing the Voyager to drive a wide variety of headphones without constraint, including planar models or low-sensitivity dynamic designs. The whole unit is designed to offer controlled sound reproduction, even with difficult loads.
The Voyager's connectivity has been designed to cover both traditional wired uses and modern wireless transmission needs. Its Bluetooth 5.0 module is compatible with LDAC, aptX HD and AAC.
This wireless connection complements traditional wired inputs, including USB-C, coaxial and Toslink, creating a versatile package suitable for any digital source. What's more, on the analogue side, it's no slouch either, offering RCA and XLR stereo inputs.

Power supply is a key element in the architecture of the Conductor Voyager. It incorporates seven Silent Power 1 modules, discrete regulators designed to ensure a particularly clean power supply. Their role is to drastically reduce the background noise generated by the regulation, allowing the analogue and digital stages to operate under optimal conditions. The result is a quieter power supply than that obtained with conventional modules, contributing to the stability and transparency of the audio signal.
The Conductor Voyager finally offers a dedicated subwoofer output, allowing you to connect a subwoofer to your headphones using Head + Sub mode. This feature provides useful support for content requiring extended sub-bass, while maintaining the precision of headphone listening.
