The SMSL RAW PRO-DAC1 is a precise, high-performance DAC based on an ESS ES9039MSPRO DAC chip and a USB XMOS XU-316 interface. It can therefore support high-resolution sampling rates up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, DSD512 and MQA/MQA-CD. In addition, it features Bluetooth functionality thanks to the latest Qualcomm QCC5125 chip supporting aptX HD and LDAC (24bit/96kHz) codecs for extremely reliable wireless transmission. The performance of the SMSL RAW PRO-DAC1 is made possible by its optimized Accu Silicon clock circuit and low-noise power supply. In terms of appearance, we find the slim, elegant lines that characterize SMSL products, but also a beautiful color display that facilitates the user experience. As for connectivity, there's a full range of digital inputs, including USB-C, USB-B, Toslink optical, SPDIF coaxial, AES/EBU and I2S via HDMI.

The SMSL RAW PRO-DAC1 is based on high-quality Hi-Fi components such as the ES9039MSPRO DAC chip and an XMOS XU316 interface. The RAW-DAC1's isolated low-noise power supply provides clean current to all its components.

The SMSL's I2S input via HDMI enables it to be powered by an I2S source and, consequently, to deliver a high-resolution signal, unaltered and little affected by jitter.

The RAWPRO-DAC1 provides flawless performance, topping all of my measurements. It is attractive both mechanically and when it comes to the display. As picky as I am, I can't find any faults to report. I am happy to recommend the SMSL RAW Pro-DAC1 stereo DAC.
