With the M7T Master, Shanling presents a high-resolution digital audio player designed as an evolution of the M7T. It combines digital-to-analog conversion handled by two AKM AK4498EX DACs and an AK4191 modulator with amplification delivering up to 1020mW into 32Ω on the balanced output. Its architecture also integrates two JAN6418 tubes, allowing the selection of a tube or transistor rendering according to the chosen listening profile.
Shanling M7T Master: A refined design
The Shanling M7T Master adopts a CNC-machined aluminum chassis whose curved edges improve handling. Its anodized, paint-free finish preserves the metallic appearance of the housing while maintaining a format suited to portable use. Its 5-inch Sharp touchscreen displays a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, i.e. a density of 441PPI. This definition facilitates navigation in Android 13, browsing music libraries and the use of compatible applications.
Shanling M7T Master: Dual AKM DAC and high-resolution playback
The digital-to-analog conversion stage relies on two AKM AK4498EX DACs, combined with an AK4191 modulator. This architecture separates the modulation and conversion functions in order to precisely organize the processing of audio signals. The M7T Master supports streams up to PCM 32bit / 768kHz and DSD1024, allowing the playback of high-resolution files in various listening configurations.
Shanling M7T Master: Amplification up to 1,020mW
The amplification stage offers three gain levels to adapt the available power to in-ear monitors as well as full-size headphones. It delivers up to 260mW into 32Ω on the single-ended output and up to 1,020mW into 32Ω on the balanced output. The headphone connectivity includes a 3.5mm output and a 4.4mm balanced output. The 3.5mm connector can also serve as a coaxial SPDIF digital output to connect the player to a compatible external DAC or amplifier.
Shanling M7T Master: Two JAN6418 tubes and two listening profiles
The M7T Master integrates two JAN6418 audio tubes mounted in a shock-resistant structure, intended to limit vibrations and microphonics. The Tube mode brings a warmer rendering with softened contours, while the Transistor mode favors a clearer, more analytical presentation.
Shanling M7T Master: Signal processing by FPGA
The digital processing relies on a custom FPGA solution, tasked with organizing the various stages of the signal before its amplification. This architecture is combined with a CPAF low-pass filter and selected components in order to maintain a coherent audio path between the digital and analog sections. The monocrystalline copper conductors also contribute to the design of the signal path, while the operational amplifier stage provides the interface between conversion and headphone amplification.
Shanling M7T Master: 7000mAh battery
The player receives a 7000mAh battery, offering up to 14.5 hours of listening on the single-ended output and up to 12.5 hours on the balanced output. Its battery life reaches up to 66 hours in Bluetooth transmitter mode. Charging is done via USB-C, with support for the QC3.0 and PD2.0 protocols.
Shanling M7T Master: Snapdragon 665 and expandable storage
The M7T Master runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This platform ensures smooth navigation under Android 13 and allows the installation of playback or streaming applications. A microSD slot accepts cards with a capacity of up to 2TB, allowing the storage dedicated to audio files to be expanded.
Shanling M7T Master: Wi‑Fi and bidirectional Bluetooth
The wireless connectivity includes dual-band 2.4GHz / 5GHz Wi‑Fi with MIMO technology, as well as a Qualcomm WCN3980 module. This connection provides access to online services and compatible music applications. Bluetooth works in both transmission and reception. In transmission, it supports the LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC codecs. In reception, it accepts LDAC and SBC, allowing the M7T Master to be used as a Bluetooth receiver with a smartphone or tablet.

The M7T Master uses Android 13, offering extensive compatibility with music and streaming applications. Its open system allows the installation of various playback solutions, while the touchscreen provides access to libraries, settings and connected services.
