Here is the dedicated casing designed to house the Audiophonics RaspDAC EVO DAC card. The latter is machined from 100% aluminum, a light, robust material that blocks any interference that may affect the audio.
The housing is pre-drilled (spacers and connectors). Its assembly comes down to fixing the various panels using the supplied screws and installing the various cards and screens from the DAC.
The only tools required to mount this item are the following :

The housing kit comes with all the accessories required to mount a functional DAC from an EVO SABRE card (to be purchased separately). The hardware and spacers required for installing the EVO module, its basic display module and its additional screen module are included.
The connectors and panel-mount allowing access to the connections of the various elements of the DAC are also included with this kit.
The front panel is drilled to accommodate the screen PCB / controller / encoder delivered with the EVO module. It is also pierced to receive an optional screen intended to interface with the Raspberry Pi when the EVO module is operating in network drive mode.
From left to right, the connector panel (rear) has a balanced XLR output as well as an unbalanced RCA output. Then the DAC digital inputs with coaxial connector, optical connector, USB-B input and bluetooth antenna.
The connector panel is also equipped with a Jack DC input dedicated to the power supply.
Finally, the RPI 4 connectors featuring RJ45, USB-3, USB-2, HDMI video output as well as connector for SD card dedicated to the operating system.
The rear cover of the supplied housing is drilled to match the connectors of the RPI 4.
In addition to the panels, screws and spacers, this box kit includes all the accessories to mount a real autonomous audio device from an EVO-SABRE DAC module such as a compatible bluetooth antenna.
Every parts necessary to optimize the SABRE EVO DAC network drive mode are also included : a micro-HDMI to HDMI panel-mount to access the Raspberry Pi's video connector and a micro-SD panel-mount to quickly access the network streamer operating system.
The EVO housing kit comes with two covers for the screens. These offer a professional finish to the complete product once mounted while protecting the most fragile parts of the device.
It is also an ideal solution to avoid leaving a empty screen soccket if you decide not to use your DAC EVO in network drive mode (without mounting a Raspberry Pi).
The covers are self-adhesive for easy and durable installation.
4 self-adhesive crack resistant anti-vibration polyurethane feet are supplied with this housing.
These provide excellent stability, a rudimentary but effective vibration absorption while protecting the case and its support from possible scratches and wear related to friction.
Optionnal secondary screen socket
The EVO Sabre Housing has an available socket for a secondary display (not included with the housing). This secondary display connects to the Raspberry Pi (if present) in SPI (CN4) via a connector already mounted on your EVO DAC SABRE BOARD. This screen is very usefeul to retrieve and display in real time the playback metadata at the software level (Dietpi / LMS) in a similar way to what our RaspDac Mini already do.
A cable and all necessary screws / washers are included in this housing kit for mounting the secondary optionnal screen.
