The DAYTON AUDIO EX32HRTS-4 IMS™ is a 32mm exciter transducer designed to turn a wide variety of rigid surfaces into true sound sources. Thanks to its surface excitation technology, it provides a compact alternative to conventional speakers and allows audio reproduction to be integrated into applications where available space, visibility, or design constraints make the use of a conventional speaker difficult. Its large-excursion dual textile suspension promotes increased excursion and low-distortion operation, while its neodymium magnet motor and proprietary two-layer voice coil contribute to high sensitivity despite its compact size. With a power handling of 40W RMS, 80W maximum and a 4-ohm impedance, it can notably be paired with small Class D amplifiers. It is therefore suitable for numerous DIY projects and applications incorporating sound-producing surfaces, such as toys, monitors, cabinet doors, or windows.

The EX32HRTS-4 IMS™ features a robust design with a 32mm (1") voice coil and cooling vents that allow it to handle more power while maintaining a slim profile. Its neodymium magnet motor generates a strong magnetic flux around the voice coil, providing higher sensitivity than exciters of similar dimensions and reducing power requirements. The dual textile suspension system is designed to increase excursion while maintaining low distortion. The result is an exciter particularly well suited to applications requiring discreet integration and high power handling in a compact footprint.


The IMS™ (Interchangeable Mounting System) mounting system is one of the key features of the DAYTON AUDIO EX32HRTS-4. The exciter features a threaded mounting bracket that can be permanently installed on the project, either using two screws or the pre-applied 3M VHB™ adhesive, designed to ensure efficient energy transfer and quick, durable installation. The exciter assembly can then simply be screwed onto its mounting bracket. This design makes it possible to test different configurations, positions, or exciter models, as well as easily replace a defective module without risking damage to the project.
