The Hidizs MK10 ArcSonics are wired in-ear monitors designed around a single 10mm dynamic driver. The heart of the MK10 is a 10mm dynamic driver with a dual magnetic circuit and dual cavity acoustic chamber. This technical choice aims to increase the magnetic flux density in the voice coil while optimizing internal pressure for better control of low frequencies. The diaphragm is made of crystalline silicon carbide, a material that is both rigid and lightweight, promoting fast transient response and limiting mechanical deformation that can cause distortion.
The housing is made entirely of zinc alloy (ZA12), CNC-machined and then polished to a mirror finish. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, this material improves mechanical stability and reduces unwanted vibrations. The body structure also features ergonomic curves designed to ensure stable insertion and good acoustic coupling.
Hidizs has integrated a system of interchangeable acoustic filters. These filters slightly modify the response curve according to three distinct profiles: a filter that accentuates the upper end of the spectrum for clearer, more open listening; a balanced filter that emphasizes tonal neutrality; and a filter that slightly boosts the bass for a warmer sound. This mechanism allows the MK10's performance to be adapted to different musical styles or the user's hearing sensitivity, without the need for electronic equalization.
The headphones come with several sets of silicone ear tips, allowing you to adjust both the isolation and the perceived frequency response, with the quality of the fit being crucial for bass and soundstage.
The Hidizs MK10 headphones have a nominal impedance of 32 ohms and a sensitivity of approximately 113dB, making them easy to drive, even from a standard headphone output. Their frequency response ranges from 20Hz to 40kHz, ensuring complete coverage of the audible spectrum.
Their sound signature is characterized by a neutral to slightly analytical presentation, with excellent separation of instruments and fast attack response. The midrange is precise, the treble has good extension without aggressiveness, and the bass, although present, remains tight and controlled rather than boomy.
The dual-cavity structure improves soundstage depth and reduces internal resonance, contributing to a stable stereo image. Overall, the MK10 prioritizes fidelity and transparency over any artificial coloration.
The MK10 ArcSonics are equipped with a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable, making them compatible with most audiophile cables available on the market. The original cable is a twisted silver-plated OFC copper model, measuring approximately 1.2m. This model ends with an asymmetrical 3.5mm stereo jack connector.
The metal shell provides excellent support and passive insulation. The weight is kept to a minimum and is evenly distributed, preventing fatigue during prolonged listening sessions. The detachable cable design makes it easy to replace or upgrade the original cable if necessary, without compromising the durability of the product.
