The Softears Studio2 are in-ear monitors featuring a balanced armature design, engineered for precise sound reproduction in a monitoring environment. They utilise a dual-driver configuration and a 2+1 acoustic structure to ensure consistent reproduction of the frequency spectrum whilst maintaining a wide and controlled frequency response.
Designed for use in both studio and live performance settings, they combine internal acoustic management with channel separation, delivering a clear and stable signal in a variety of environments. This approach makes them ideal for analytical listening, whilst maintaining controlled dynamics and tonal consistency suited to vocal or instrument monitor applications.
The Softears Studio2 features a dual balanced armature driver design, structured around a functional frequency distribution. A first transducer with a wide-range diaphragm handles the bass and midrange frequencies; this design allows for greater air displacement than a conventional balanced armature, thereby enhancing the density of the lower end of the spectrum whilst maintaining clarity in the midrange.
In addition to this, a second balanced armature driver dedicated to high frequencies utilises a dedicated acoustic tube that mechanically and acoustically isolates the high-frequency range in order to preserve its delicate sound reproduction. This physical separation of the frequency bands results in better control of interference between the different ranges, whilst maintaining the overall coherence of the signal.

The acoustic design is based on a 2+1 topology centred around three separate acoustic channels, allowing the signal to be distributed in a way that goes beyond simple passive filtering. Two main tubes provide conventional reproduction of the frequency bands, with one dedicated to the high frequencies and the other handling the midrange and bass, thereby ensuring a clear functional separation of the frequency ranges.
This approach is further enhanced by the inclusion of a third, narrower, spiral-shaped duct, which connects to the midrange and bass tube in order to partially bypass the crossover’s damping section. This alternative path alters the acoustic load applied to the driver, thereby increasing the perceived impact in the bass.
The Studio2 earphones aim to deliver the most neutral frequency response possible, drawing on the inherent speed of balanced armature drivers to ensure precise reproduction of transients. This approach facilitates a detailed reproduction of the signal, where dynamic variations are reproduced without any lag, thereby enabling a faithful interpretation of the recordings.
Designed for monitoring purposes, the Studio2 monitors are engineered to perform equally well in both studio and live environments (vocal and instrument monitoring), whilst maintaining a stable tonal balance—a prerequisite for reliable decision-making during listening sessions.

The Studio2 comes with an OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) cable connecting the in-ear monitors to a 3.5mm jack, ensuring superior signal transmission to get the most out of your earphones.
