With the Pure, Truthear offers high-performance in-ear monitors, direct descendants of the Hexa. Like their predecessors, they are equipped with a combination of four drivers, combining dynamic and balanced armature technology to effectively cover the frequency range, offering balanced sound reproduction with natural timbre and exceptional precision.
Like the Hexa, the Pure is based on a dynamic driver coupled with three balanced armature drivers. This hybrid configuration uses each technology to its fullest potential to provide effective coverage of the frequency band.
The low frequencies are therefore assigned to a 10mm dynamic driver with a sophisticated magnetic structure coupled with an LCP membrane and silica gel suspension. This model incorporates a copper voice coil specially developed for this purpose. Unlike the aluminium-plated copper coils traditionally used, this one has been designed to minimise its resonance frequency (FO) while increasing its impedance. The result is powerful bass that perfectly meets frequency response requirements.
A pair of composite balanced armature drivers are responsible for the midrange. These have been specially tuned to precisely complement the dynamic driver, while strictly conforming to HRTF characteristics.
Finally, a custom balanced armature tweeter, with characteristics very similar to Knowles' WBFK series, is responsible for the high frequencies, not only effectively complementing the frequency range coverage, but also offering a refined and precise rendering of the treble.
The internal cavity of the Pure was machined using DLP (Digital Light Processing) 3D printing. This process enables a level of design finesse that would otherwise be impossible. Truthear was thus able to design a waveguide structure tailored to each driver, in order to merge their outputs into a coherent whole, as close as possible to the brand's desired sound reproduction.
The Pure introduces numerous changes to various elements compared to its predecessors, such as the crossover design, driver selection and internal cavity shape. These changes are intended to reduce the Q factor of the resonance peak in the high frequencies while optimising the bass for an improved listening experience.
The Pure earphones offer very neutral sound reproduction with natural timbre, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, from monitoring to gaming, as well as simply listening music. Compared to the Hexa, the Pure headphones offer more powerful bass, more neutral midrange, and slightly brighter treble.
Like the brand's other multi-driver earphones, the Pure offers excellent phase consistency across the entire frequency range, ensuring no distortion due to phase divergence for a pleasant and detailed listening experience.
The Pure comes with a 3.5mm to CIEM 0.78mm 2-pin silver-plated OFC copper cable, guaranteeing high-quality signal transmission without external interference.
