Topping offers with its LA90 a powerful and efficient amplifier, which can work both in stereo and mono mode. In the first case, it is capable of delivering a power of 2x90W under 4Ω (1% THD+N), in the second it will be able to provide a power of 180W under 8Ω (1% THD+N). Moreover, the LA90 provides a combined balanced input connector, the device being able to be connected as well in Jack 6.35mm as in XLR.
The LA90 offers a whole new level of performance, revealing incredible accuracy and clarity of reproduction, with linear response and extremely low noise.
High power & Low distortion
The extremely low THD+N of the LA90 is measured at only 0.00007% under 8Ω 10W and 0.00008% under 4Ω 20W. These performances allow it in fact an accurate reproduction of the source signal.
Balanced inputs
The LA90 provides three balanced inputs. These have a combined format, allowing the use of both XLR and 6.35mm TRS cables. In addition, three connectors allow the device to be used in mono mode.
Two gain levels
In order to adapt to the vast majority of audio systems, including the most demanding, the LA90 offers an adjustable gain at two levels. The first, Low Gain, offers a gain of +6.7dB, while the second, High Gain, provides a gain of +19dB.
Mono & Stereo
The Topping LA90 can be configured and wired to operate in either stereo or mono mode, with the combination of two LA90s then providing higher power. When used in mono mode, the minimum impedance is 8Ω.
Volume control
The volume of the LA90 can be adjusted with the large knob on the front panel. It is also possible to bypass the volume control of the LA90 in order to associate it with a HiFi preamplifier. The latter is particularly useful to synchronize the volume of two LA90s when used in mono mode.
