DAYTON AUDIO PCS10-4 Subwoofer Speaker

The Dayton Audio PCS10-4 is a 25.4cm (10") paper cone subwoofer, with a 4 Ω impedance, designed for subwoofer projects and multi-way speakers requiring extended bass reproduction. Its 33 Hz resonance frequency, 88.8 dB sensitivity and 150 W RMS power handling define a balance suited to compact to medium enclosures, as well as to moderate power amplifiers.

Its paper cone treated with a grey polymer coating, its inverted dust cap and its wide-roll rubber surround combine controlled excursion with a refined finish. The low-profile stamped steel basket makes for easy integration, while vents in the motor, voice coil former and spider area promote air circulation and limit heat build-up during extended listening. With a maximum linear excursion of ±5.6 mm and a rated frequency response of 30 to 1,000 Hz, it can be used in subwoofer enclosures or in some multi-way speakers.

The PCS10-4 is also the direct replacement speaker for the Dayton Audio CS1000 active subwoofer. Its 10-inch format and 4 Ω impedance make it an option for replacing a worn transducer or building a new audio project, provided the enclosure and amplifier compatibility is verified.
