The Fosi Audio S3 Lite is a network transport designed to add high-resolution streaming to a Hi-Fi setup, without handling digital-to-analog conversion itself. It transmits streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz to an external DAC through its USB-A, optical, and coaxial outputs, while maintaining low digital distortion.
Compatible with Wi-Fi 6, Google Cast, and AirPlay 2, it lets you stream music from compatible apps, synchronize several listening zones, and control the main functions from the Fosi Audio app or its Bluetooth remote. Its compact form factor and 12V trigger make it easy to integrate into an existing system, whether dedicated to stereo listening or set up in a multiroom configuration.

The Fosi Audio S3 Lite is a network transport designed to modernize an existing Hi-Fi setup by adding access to streaming services, without integrating digital-to-analog conversion. The signal is transmitted directly to an external DAC through the USB-A output, with support for PCM up to 32bit 768kHz, in order to preserve the audio data up to the conversion stage. This architecture thus leaves it to the DAC and amplifier to define the final sound character of the system.
Fosi Audio S3 Lite: Digital connectivity and integration
To adapt to different configurations, the S3 Lite features USB-A, optical, and coaxial outputs, allowing it to connect to most external DACs. Its digital output shows a low level of distortion and noise, with THD+N as low as 0.000003%, while the management of track and streaming quality changes limits audible parasitic noise. The transport can thus be inserted between a music app and an external converter, whether paired with an older Hi-Fi system or a more recent installation.
Fosi Audio S3 Lite: Network streaming and multiroom control
The S3 Lite receives music directly from compatible apps and relies on a dual-band 2.4GHz / 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 connection to ensure stable transmission within a stated range of up to 100 meters. The Fosi Audio app brings together configuration, playback, source and output mode selection, while integrating a 10-band parametric equalizer to adjust the output to the system in use. Google Cast and AirPlay 2 compatibility also allows synchronized playback across several rooms, with multiple S3 Lite or S3 devices controlled from a smartphone.
Fosi Audio S3 Lite: Installation and remote control
Its compact enclosure limits clutter on a desk, a shelf, or in a Hi-Fi cabinet, while the 12V trigger allows its power-on to be automatically synchronized with that of a DAC or another equipped device. The Bluetooth remote controls input selection, playback, and power up to 15 meters, which makes daily use easier without directly accessing the transport. This combination of connectivity, network control, and system integration makes it possible to add streaming to an existing system while keeping a fully digital signal path.
