The iFi Audio GO Blu Air is a portable Bluetooth DAC and headphone amplifier designed to follow you everywhere. Both practical and high-performance, it features a magnetic clip for easy transport on the go. Powered by its Qualcomm QCC5144 chip dedicated to Bluetooth 5.2, the Go Blu Air offers high-performance audio reception, thanks in particular to its support for a variety of codecs (LDAC, LHDC, aptX, etc.), as well as its Circus Logic CS43131 DAC chip.
The Go Blu Air is connected via its two outputs: a 3.5mm jack using S-Balanced technology and delivering up to 165mW at 32Ω, and a second balanced 4.4mm jack delivering up to 262mW at 32Ω. Power is supplied via a USB-C port, which charges the battery and provides up to 10 hours of battery life.
iFi Audio Go Blu Air: A high-performance DAC
The Go Blu Air’s unique design reveals the components essential to its performance, each one separate and dedicated to a specific task. Its Qualcomm QCC5144 chip handles Bluetooth reception, while the Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chip handles signal conversion. A dual-stage amplifier handles a balanced 4.4mm jack output of up to 256mW/5.6V as well as an S-Balanced 3.5mm jack output. The GMT clock system, meanwhile, enables a drastic reduction in jitter. Finally, XBass and XSpace technologies deliver punchy bass and an immersive soundstage, respectively.
The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity enables convenient wireless use. It supports high-performance codecs such as LDAC, LHDC, and aptX.
iFi Audio Go Blu Air: A portable design
The Go Blu Air comes with a detachable magnetic clip, allowing you to carry it safely and easily by attaching it to a belt, bag or pocket; thanks to its lightweight design, weighing just 30g, it won’t get in the way.
In addition, it features a MEMS microphone with noise cancellation powered by Qualcomm technology, enabling clear hands-free calls. Its rotary knob allows you to adjust the volume by turning it. A short press controls play/pause, as well as fast-forward and rewind. Finally, a long press of the button activates the voice assistant on the connected smartphone.
