Audio-GD XA-150
Balanced Dual Mono Amplifier Diamond Differential Design 2x100W
The Audio-GD XA-150 is a high-end balanced amplifier consisting of two separate mono blocks in pure Class A with a Diamond Differential Design architecture. This structure allows it to develop a power of 100W per mono block, with an exceptional sound quality.
Its extremely careful design integrates 4 toroidal transformers for a total of 1700W and numerous Audio Grade capacitors for a cumulative capacity of 180000µF. The non-feedback output stages include no less than 48 transistors. The power supply stage is composed of 8 pure Class A PSUs to provide all circuits with a perfectly clean electrical signal, essential for a transparent sound reproduction.
The result of this design is quickly noticeable: great musicality thanks to exceptional dynamics and a rich sound that is extremely detailed in every detail.
Class A
Class A has the particularity of having its active components always in conduction. The quiescent current remains higher than the output current, thus limiting harmonic distortion. The output signal of the XA-150 is therefore of excellent quality, due to the absence of this famous sine wave crossover distortion.
