Excellent amplifier
Excellent amplifier with just a few minor imperfections:
- the power supply produces a very slight high-piched noise (~4kHz) that can be noticed from a 0.5-1m distance (or more) in silent environment (esp. from behind) ; the sound is different when the amp is off and when it is on (NC252M-based amps don't do this)
- if you plan to use the RCA inputs, expect sensitivity to ground-loops, esp. if you have a more complex sound system; if it includes a USB device (e.g. a DAC), you may need a proper USB isolator (a cheap one based on Adum3165 is just good enough)
- actually, I have been getting a slight humming sound from the RCA inputs all the time, until I connected the unbalanced source directly to the balanced input (shorting the SIG- to the ground pin); now it's finally completely silent!
- it is a pity that the XLR and RCA inputs cannot be switched remotely via some extension or upgrade; just some connector/header bypassing the mechanical switch would be very useful for a DIY implementation using relays; but considering my issues with the RCA inputs, it's probably better not using them at all anyway

Oui, la hi-fi et le home cinéma dans le même système c'est possible!
Ma combinaison Marantz Cinema 50 et Dynaudio Emit en 3.0 ne me donnait pas satisfaction: passable en home-cinéma et décevante en stéréo pour la musique. L'ajout de cet ampli, certes pas donné mais bien moins cher que les réalisation de marques prestigieuses qui utilisent les mêmes modules, a tout changé:
- matériel très solidement construit et connecteurs de haute qualité: ça fait haut de gamme
- ne chauffe pas du tout (mais alors pas du tout)
- mon Marantz ne chauffe plus non plus car il ne sert que de pré-ampli
- son home-cinéma beaucoup plus ample et précis, voix et dialogues très clairs, effets de basses amples
- mais surtout, retour dans le monde de la hi-fi pour la musique: clarté, transparence, contrôle des basses, absence de fatigue, aigus cristallins mais élégants, scène stéréo en 3D, positionnement des instruments et des voix "dans la pièce". J'étais déjà passé à la classe D dans ma chaine musicale Nuprime, ici on est au moins à ce niveau voire plus.
Deux minuscules regrets:
- un tout petit parasite à l'allumage
- pas de version "silver" du coffret
