The iFi Audio NEO Stream 3 is an audiophile network player and DAC. Built around a Burr-Brown DSD1793 DAC chip, it can handle signals up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512. It is compatible with Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Roon, DLNA and AirPlay, and uses optimised architecture and K2 and K2HD technology to preserve the harmonic richness of the track as close as possible to the original recording. Its digital output stage, synchronised by a femtosecond clock and processed by active noise reduction with iPurification technology, aims to limit jitter and electrical interference, enabling stable and consistent transmission of the digital signal within a demanding Hi-Fi system.

The NEO Stream 3 incorporates a Burr-Brown DSD1793 chip, configured to ensure stable conversion and precise channel separation. As such, it is capable of supporting PCM streams up to 32-bit 768kHz as well as DSD512, enabling direct playback of high-resolution content.

The NEO Stream 3 supports reception and transmission of the main streaming protocols currently in use, including Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Roon, DLNA and AirPlay, enabling direct integration into a variety of software environments without the need for an intermediate gateway.
Beyond access to services, the device transmits signals up to PCM 768kHz and DSD512, relying on an architecture optimised to maintain bitrate stability and data integrity. The integration of K2 and K2HD technology extends this approach by ensuring that the harmonic structure of the signal is preserved, with the aim of reproducing the original recording faithfully.
iFi Audio NEO Stream 3: Optimised output stage
The USB and S/PDIF outputs are based on a femtosecond clock, ensuring high temporal precision to reduce jitter when transferring data to your external DAC.
Beyond the clock, an active noise reduction system combined with proprietary iPurification technology isolates the flow of high-frequency pollution and potential interference from the network or power supply. This combination ensures clean digital transmission, allowing the DAC to work on a stabilised signal free from noise interference.
iFi Audio NEO Stream 3: Exclusive Mode
The Neo Stream 3 has an Exclusive Mode feature that allows you to disable non-essential software processes in order to focus system resources on a single protocol. Five options are available: full operation, Roon only, TIDAL only, Qobuz only, or DLNA only.
This functional isolation reduces internal load and limits simultaneous software interactions, resulting in more direct processing of the active stream. By removing unnecessary background services, the device ensures a focused playback environment, minimising potential digital signal interference.
iFi Audio NEO Stream 3: iFi Nexis application
The iFi Nexis app, available on Android and iOS, simplifies initial setup by guiding you through network connection and activation of compatible services. In addition to basic configuration, the app provides access to advanced device settings, allowing for precise adjustments to suit your needs.
