With the RS451, ROSE HiFi presents a high-end streamer and headphone amplifier based on two ES9027PRO DAC chips supported by a vast array of technologies developed by the brand. The result is an AirPlay and DLNA-compatible device that has received Roon Ready and Play with Audirvāna certifications and is capable of processing signals up to PCM 32-bit 768kHz and DSD512 while delivering exceptionally clear sound reproduction.
The RS451 is equipped with the ROSE DPC (Digital Processing Core) module, which optimises digital signal processing. This module reduces jitter and improves signal quality by precisely synchronising input signals with a high-precision femto clock and aligning them as an I2S signal. Completely isolated from the device's other functions, this processing ensures natural, smooth sound that is compatible with a wide range of digital formats.
The analogue stage of the RS451 is equipped with the ROSE NRA (Noise Reduction Analog) filter, designed to eliminate noise and ensure a flat frequency response, even in extremely low frequency ranges. Thanks to this innovation, the RS451 ensures a fixed frequency response across the entire range without decay, faithfully and clearly reproducing the original sound information from high-resolution audio sources.
The RS451 incorporates two ES9027PRO DACs featuring ESS HyperStream technology to deliver impressive dynamic range conversion of +124dB and THD+N of 114dB. This means that the RS541 is capable of converting signals up to PCM 32-bit 768kHz and DSD512, ensuring perfect compatibility with all high-resolution audio formats. In addition, there is a set of seven digital filters that allow you to shape the final sound signature to your liking. To provide optimal stereo performance, the eight channels of the DACs used are subdivided into four channels operating in parallel, offering improved dynamics and virtually no noise.
In order to provide DACs with the best possible digital signal to convert, the RS451 incorporates a USB interface designed to support signals up to PCM 32-bit 768kHz and DSD512. Furthermore, the latter uses isochronous signal processing to minimise latency while improving transmission stability.
As stated earlier, furthermore, the RS451 incorporates two ES9027PRO DAC chips. One of these is assigned to the pre-out circuit, while the second serves the headphone output stage. Each of these audio circuits is completely isolated from the other, and the two DAC chips each have a separate power supply and grounding, minimising interference and unwanted noise. Furthermore, in addition to having a dedicated DAC chip, the headphone output stage also receives 4 integrated amplifier ICs, enabling it to deliver sufficient power to drive headphones exceeding 600Ω impedance without any issues. Their ultra-fast slew rates of 1300V/µs effectively minimise signal distortion while faithfully reproducing the dynamics of the music.
Equipped with a new-generation RK3588 8-core processor, the RS451 offers four times the data processing performance and eight times the graphics performance of its predecessor. DRAM capacity has been doubled from 4GB to 8GB, while eMMC storage has been expanded from 8GB to 32GB, delivering more than twice the processing speeds. This enables smooth playback of large audio files and high-resolution 4K HDR videos.
The RS451 features a generous 8.8-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 480px, displaying album artwork and videos with incredible quality. The intuitive touch panel ensures exceptional ease of use, while its high resolution and wide colour gamut enable detailed and vivid visual representation.
The RS451 offers the ability to convert PCM audio to DSD and extend it up to DSD512 using ROSE's DPC module. This allows users to enjoy various PCM audio sources with the sound characteristics unique to DSD. High-resolution oversampling preserves the fine details of the source while enriching the sound with unparalleled depth and clarity.
To become the nerve centre of your HiFi system, the RS451 is compatible with AirPlay and DLNA network protocols and allows you to connect to it via WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth. Furthermore, the RS451 is also compatible with a wide range of streaming applications such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Qobuz.
The RoseAudioServer server solution developed by the brand integrates several signal processing technologies that work together to offer you the final result that is as faithful as possible to the original performance.
Audio Streamer Reader: The audio streamer reader utilises cache technology developed by HiFi ROSE to process digital input signals using system interrupts, network jitter and the base clock without distortion.
Audio Decoder: The audio decoder can process various types of audio sources and codecs to extract DSD and PCM data. In the case of a source using a lossy codec, it decodes to 32-bit floating point PCM to minimise distortion.
Audio Process: The audio process supports bit-perfect transmission, conditioning and delivering audio data in a transmission format optimised for the DAC used. It can support full MQA decoding and native DSD. It provides an advanced HiFi audio environment using various post-processing modules developed by HiFi ROSE.
With the Rose Connect app available on iOS and Android as well as MacOS and Windows, you can control the RS451 remotely so you can control your HiFi system from anywhere.
