Audio Video Streamer DAC ES9038PRO MQA 32bit 768KHz DSD512
Zidoo's Neo X is a high-end integrated audio-visual solution for audiophiles offering multiple features and a particularly complete connectivity. A powerful network player, it integrates high-performance components including a conversion stage based on a high-end ESS ES9038Pro DAC chip. On the video side, it supports 4K@60Hz UHD and Dolby Vision streams as well as HDR10 technology.
ES9038Pro DAC
The Neo X uses a 32bit ES9038Pro DAC taking advantage of HyperStream technology to decode audio streams. It is the highest performance DAC model proposed by ESS. It ensures a dynamic range of 140dB and allows a rich, precise and natural sound reproduction.
Linear power supplies
The Neo X's linear power supply stage is equipped with two large toroidal transformers. This dual linear power supply allows the digital and analog audio circuits to be powered independently, providing a particularly clean and stable electrical signal to each component. Compared to a standard power supply, this one delivers a large amount of power with high efficiency, significantly reducing EMI interference for better audio and video quality.
A very neutral sound
In addition to the ES9038Pro DAC, the Neo X incorporates numerous high-end circuits, such as a fully balanced multi-level filter, HiFi processing components and professional hardware calibration. Its high SNR of 118dB, crosstalk of -128dB and ultra-low distortion significantly reduce background noise and provide great timbre neutrality.
MQA
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is a technology that restores the sound of the original recording. The MQA master file is fully authenticated and light enough for streaming and downloading. The Neo X adopts MQA technology to receive and decode these files and deliver exceptional sound quality.
USB XMOS Interface & DAC USB
The Neo X is equipped with a USB XMOS interface, in combination with the ESS ES9038Pro DAC, an excellent alternative to traditional sound cards. The USB DAC input supports PCM streams up to 32bit 768kHz and Native DSD up to DSD512.
Qualcomm CSR8675 & Bluetooth 5.0
The Zidoo Neo X is capable of simply connecting to a smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing you to stream your music remotely. The Bluetooth reception is based on the use of a Qualcomm CSR8675 chip, compatible with SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD and LDAC codecs. It is thus able to provide a sound quality at the level of that of the CD in Bluetooth.
High performance headphone amplifier
The Neo X Profite features a headphone amplifier with balanced 4.4mm jack and single-ended 6.35mm jack outputs. This makes it comparable to a desktop headphone amplifier, with balanced linear amplification circuitry, multi-level AOP, high-end resistors and precise calibration. It is powerful and capable of handling even the most demanding headphones, thanks to a two-stage gain control.
Balanced preamplifier output
The Zidoo Neo X also adopts a balanced circuit for analog audio signal processing. All signals from the DAC to the analog outputs are transmitted in a balanced fashion. This architecture allows for better noise immunity and increased audio quality. The output can be balanced XLR or single-ended RCA.
Dual high precision femtosecond clocks
The Neo X conversion circuitry uses two high-precision Accusilicon femtosecond clocks (45.1584MHz and 49.152MHz), corresponding to the 44.1kHz and 48kHd sampling multipliers. These clocks allow perfect synchronization of the signal to reduce jitter and improve decoding accuracy.
Carefully selected HiFi components
To achieve excellent sound quality and low distortion, the Neo X uses gold-plated circuitry and high-end components carefully selected for their audio performance. These include WIMA and ELNA capacitors and Omron relays. Every detail has been thought of to improve the audio quality of the device.
Easy and convenient integration
With multiple digital inputs, including Coaxil, AES/EBU and USB, the Neo X can be used with CD players, computers, digital set-top boxes, etc. The different signals can be easily selected to suit many source devices.
High level reading and decoding
As a digital audio decoder, Neo X supports high sample rates and audio formats. It is compatible with FLAC, WAV, APE, DTS and many others. It is also capable of playing DSD512 streams via formats such as SACD, ISO, DFF, DSF and DSD, as well as decoding and playing MQA files. It also supports CD playback and ripping (via the use of an external CD player).
Professional decoder & Powerful software
The operating system of the digital audio decoder supports decoding and playback of almost all formats. It also allows adding music from different devices for efficient management. It generates file matching to automatically generate a database and metadata.
Many compatible streaming services
Neo X also supports online playback from many streaming services. Playback can be started directly from a device connected to the same LAN as the Neo X, via AirPlay, Spotify and DLNA.
Custom Filtering & Equalizers
Offering several digital filtering modes, the Neo X can be adapted to your listening and your equipment. It offers 7 PCM and 4 DSD filters, as well as custom equalizer settings.
Powerful Realtek processor
The Neo X is equipped with a very powerful Realtek RTD1619DR hexa-core 64bit A55 processor. This processor is 50% more powerful than the previous generation models. A larger bus and a higher response and calculation speed guarantee excellent audio and video playback.
OS Exclusive
Zidoo has been working for many years on the development and design of audiovisual equipment. After 4 years of work, the brand has developed a powerful OS for the Neo X, based on Android, offering an intuitive interface, smooth operation, high system compatibility and stability.
Storage expansion
An internal 3.5" bay can accommodate a hard drive with a capacity of up to 16TB (not included). A storage extension to enjoy a large music library.
5" OLED screen
The Neo X features a beautiful 5" OLED touchscreen, allowing access to the various functions of the device, whether it is playback, different applications or settings. The front of the player is also equipped with buttons for convenient access at any time to essential functions such as volume level adjustment or source selection.
4K HDR output
The Neo X is capable of decoding and processing 4K HDR HEVC/H.265 and UHD 60Hz 384*2160px video streams. It supports HDR and BT.2020 allowing for a wide color gamut and accurate images.
Dolby Vision Technology
Advanced Dolby Vision dynamic metadata processing technology is supported, providing brightness and color information for each scene on a frame-by-frame basis with greater dynamic range and contrast. At the same time, 12bit output is also supported for more vivid, balanced colors and natural dynamic transition.
Dolby Vision VS10 engine
In addition to native Dolby Vision support, the Neo X is also equipped with the Dolby VS10 image processing engine. It provides an excellent experience for any format (Dolby Vision, HDR, HLG, SDR, etc.) and display devices.
HDR10+
The Neo X incorporates HDR10+ technology, capable of displaying up to 4000nits of brightness and processing metadata accurately for each image. In other words, colors and brightness levels are obtained frame by frame and scene by scene to achieve high dynamic contrast and richer colors.
Precise frame rate switching
Neo X supports automatic and accurate switching of the original resolution and display frequency (23.976, 59.94, 25, 30, 50 and 60). The new algorithm allows the frame rate switching to be performed in advance to ensure smooth and full playback of videos.
Network sharing protocols
The Zidoo Neo X supports Gigabit network transmission, allowing access to a NAS LAN server via NFS, SMB v1/v2/v3 and UPnP. The SMB transfer function can share files from a connected hard drive with the Neo X and other devices.
Smooth blu-ray playback
The Neo X supports a wide range of video formats and blu-ray playback. BD and UHD blu-ray menus are played back just like in the cinema.
Surround audio formats
The Zidoo Neo X not only supports analog outputs. It is also compatible with the digital outputs of Dolby and DTS audio technologies. This allows you to enjoy immersive multi-channel playback.
Zidoo Controller App
The Zidoo Controller app can be used to control the Neo X remotely. It is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. It allows you to browse files on a NAS or hard drive.
Smart integration
cIntelligent control ports such as IR input, RS232, HDMI CEC and HTTP (WOL) can be used for integration with many intelligent control systems. The trigger input and output can be used to quickly and easily turn on and off your entire audio system.
