The Viawave SRT-7 is an SRT diaphragm ribbon tweeter with an overall diameter of 104mm and an impedance of 8Ω. It is based on the design of the GRT-145-8 model, with a modified rear chamber here to achieve a smoother frequency response.

The SRT-7 uses patented SRT (Sealed Ribbon Tweeter) technology to seal the air gap between the ribbon and the magnet poles, using a "U" shaped suspension made of a heat resistant polymer film.

The SRT technology drastically reduces the non-linear distortion of the tweeter and allows it to operate at lower frequencies, while maintaining a beautiful transparency.

By combining this SRT technology with a powerful magnet system, the SRT-7 achieves a unique sensitivity for a 7cm² ribbon, with a measured value of 95dB/w/m over the 4-18kHz bandwidth.
