DAYTON AUDIO PRO NEO-8 Compression Driver Tweeter

The Dayton Audio PRO NEO-8 is a compression tweeter designed for PA systems and as a replacement for horn-mounted high-frequency drivers. Its 2.54cm (1") PEI diaphragm, paired with a neodymium motor, covers a range from 2,500 Hz to 20 kHz with a sensitivity of 105 dB at 2.83 V/1 m, allowing it to match the high output of professional loudspeakers while maintaining a detailed and consistent reproduction. Its power handling reaches 20 W RMS and 40 W maximum, while the recommended crossover point at 2,500 Hz makes it easy to integrate into two- or three-way configurations.

The PRO NEO-8 features a 2.54cm (1") throat output and a standard 1-3/8" 18 TPI thread, making it compatible with many screw-on horns and with various compact system architectures. Its rising response improves efficiency around the crossover frequency, delivering a clear and non-fatiguing treble when paired with a suitable horn, while its simple impedance behavior facilitates the development or adaptation of the passive crossover. Its characteristics, close to those of the JBL 2414H-1, also make it a replacement solution for several JBL loudspeakers, including the EON210P, EON 305, EON 510 and EON610. Thanks to its compact format, neodymium magnet and extended mechanical compatibility, it fits equally well into an existing PA loudspeaker or into a DIY project requiring a high-output compression tweeter.
