The Dayton Audio KABD-250 module is an amplifier module capable of delivering up to 2x 50W into 4Ω thanks to a TPA3116 chip. In addition, this module incorporates a DSP chip to give you complete control over the final sound. Finally, for maximum convenience, this module also includes a Bluetooth 5.0 chip that supports aptX HD, aptX LL, SBC and AAC codecs.

Dayton Audio KABD-250 : 2x50W amplification

The Dayton Audio KABD-250 card incorporates a Class D amplifier module based on the TPA3116 chip. With an efficiency of nearly 88%, this chip delivers 2 × 50 W of power into 4 Ω while significantly limiting heat generation, allowing for the use of a smaller heat sink. Its ultra-low distortion and low power consumption make this board particularly suitable for portable battery-powered installations.

Dayton Audio KABD-250 : ADAU1701 DSP

The card also features an ADAU1701 digital signal processor, paving the way for signal processing via SigmaStudio software. This DSP makes it possible to adjust equalisation, high-pass and low-pass filters, tone, time alignment and many other functions. External potentiometers can be connected to the card to adjust volume and settings in real time.

Dayton Audio KABD-250 : Bluetooth 5.0

For the wireless part, the KABD-250 card incorporates a Bluetooth 5.0 module with aptX HD, aptX LL, SBC and AAC support, ensuring near CD-quality streaming and low latency. The module has high sensitivity, RF power up to +9 dBm, and an external antenna connector to optimise range (up to approximately 15 metres).
