WONDOM AA-JA33288 JAB6 Amplifier Module

The Wondom AA-JA33288 JAB6 is a high-power Class D amplifier module featuring PFFB (Post Filter Feedback) technology, two TI TPA3255 circuits, as well as Bluetooth and DSP modules. It can deliver up to 4× 300W into 4Ω and offers three output configurations: 4.0 (4× 300W), 2.1 (2×300W + 1×600W) or 2.0 (2×600W), allowing it to be adapted to different speaker architectures. The module supports three types of audio sources: analog Line In, digital I2S and Bluetooth, and also features an I2S output for cascading multiple amplifiers. Its modular architecture allows the Bluetooth, DSP and input modules to be replaced, enabling the system to be upgraded without replacing the entire amplifier. The JAB6 also integrates a cooling system combining a heatsink and an automatic 4-speed fan, protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating and short circuits, as well as a soft-start circuit. It can be controlled via a PC interface and SigmaStudio to individually adjust the channels, including equalization, crossover filters and delays, and supports external Wondom control panels for adjusting volume, bass, treble and inputs.

The JAB6 is based on two TI TPA3255 circuits, enabling a maximum output power of 4 × 300W into 4Ω. Its configurable architecture allows users to choose between three modes: 4.0 with four 300W channels, 2.1 with two 300W channels and one 600 W channel, or 2.0 with two 600 W channels. This flexibility allows the module to be adapted to different speaker configurations, including stereo systems or setups with a subwoofer.

Wondom AA-JA33288 JAB6: Bluetooth, DSP and configurable audio processing

The module integrates an audio processing system combining the ADAU1701 DSP and BM83 Bluetooth module, allowing it to handle Line In, I2S and Bluetooth signals. The ADAU1701, designed by Analog Devices, handles digital signal processing and enables multiband equalization, crossover filters and delay settings, with individual configuration of the different channels via PC UI or more advanced programming with SigmaStudio. On the wireless side, the BM83 provides Bluetooth connectivity and supports Bluetooth TWS, as well as linking multiple JAB6 amplifiers to create wireless audio distribution systems. The three-wire I2S input features an ASRC (Asynchronous Sample Rate Converter), allowing operation without an MCLK signal and facilitating direct connection to a Raspberry Pi or other compatible single-board computers. An I2S output also allows multiple JAB6 modules to be cascaded, while the I2S signals are reprocessed at each connection to preserve signal quality when cascading multiple units.

PFFB (Post Filter Feedback) technology is designed to reduce distortion and allows the JAB6 to achieve a THD+N of 0.008% and a specified noise level of 55µVrms. To ensure reliable operation during extended use, the module features a heatsink combined with a four-speed fan, which is automatically activated from 55°C. A soft-start circuit limits current surges when powering on, while an isolated dual-rail analog power supply helps reduce ground interference and ground-loop noise. The module also integrates protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating and short circuits, as well as a switching noise suppression circuit during power-on and power-off. Finally, the JAB6 can be combined with Wondom ADP distribution panels to customize its connectivity with XLR, RCA, 3.5mm Jack or banana terminal modules.

The JAB6 can also be combined with various Wondom accessories and modules, including external control panels for managing volume, bass, treble or input selection, as well as Wondom ADP distribution panels supporting different XLR, RCA, 3.5mm Jack and banana terminal connectivity modules. For DSP programming and configuration, it can be used with the Wondom ICP5, which is compatible with Wondom products equipped with DSP and provides access to SigmaStudio and PC control.
