DAC PCM5100 DAC Preamplifier

This small, compact HiFi device is extremely versatile, as it acts as a DAC, preamplifier and headphone amplifier. It also features a source selector potentiometer. It incorporates components such as a PCM5100 DAC chip, an MS8416 digital audio interface and OPA4558 AOPs. These components enable it to support sampling rates of up to 48kHz via its USB input and 96kHz via its Toslink optical input. In addition to its two digital inputs, it has a stereo RCA input and two outputs: a stereo RCA line output and a headphone output on a 6.35mm jack connector. This Hi-Fi device is the ideal solution for centralizing several digital & analog sources and accessing them from a single circuit.

It is easily powered via a 5.5/2.1mm DC JACK connector on the rear panel. Simply supply it with 12V DC and it will operate normally.

Reliable components

This small DAC / source selector is characterized by a construction that respects High Fidelity standards. It features film resistors with ± 1% tolerance and Nikon 2200µF electrolytic capacitors dedicated to power supply filtering.

The PCB itself benefits from a double-sided copper foil structure 1.6mm thick.
