With its DAC-SQ3, FX-Audio offers a small, compact, affordable and powerful DAC. Featuring an ESS ES9038Q2M digital-to-analog conversion chip, it offers accurate playback and supports high sampling rates, up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256.

All of its circuitry has also been optimized, including an excellent XMOS XU208 USB interface and a low noise and ripple power stage.

On the connectic side, the input and the power supply are done via USB-B. For the outputs, the DAC-SQ3 provides stereo RCA, Coaxial and Optical Toslink.

The volume acts only on the RCA output.
The optical and coaxial outputs are fixed.

Vu que des DAC qui sont équipés de la puce Sabre ES9038Q2M sont récompensés par la presse audiophile et coutent autour de 500€ le FX AUDIO n'a pas de raison de ne pas faire aussi bien...
Le son est bluffant. Pureté, spatialité, musicalité, tout y est.
Sous Linux, le Dac est reconnu, deux trois clics pour éteindre la carte graphique du PC et basculer en sortie numérique et ça roule.
