FIIO GIGAS 1 Balanced Headphone Amplifier Discrete Class AB

The FIIO GIGAS 1 is a compact desktop headphone amplifier designed to deliver extremely high output power, making it suitable for driving both demanding planar headphones and high-impedance dynamic headphones. Its fully discrete Class AB amplification stage is based on an op-amp + transistor current amplification architecture featuring four ON Semiconductor MJE243G transistors and four MJE253G transistors, ensuring high-current output with low output impedance. Powered either via USB-C 5V/2A or a USB Power Delivery 12V/2A power supply, the GIGAS 1 delivers up to 2 x 4600mW into 32Ω through its balanced 4.4mm jack output, while remaining compatible with headphones rated from 8 to 350Ω. It also features a 3.5mm single-ended headphone output compatible with the CTIA standard for headset microphone pass-through, as well as two analog inputs, stereo RCA and 3.5mm jack, allowing easy connection to a DAC, portable player, computer, smartphone, or CD player. Selectable gain (Low / High Gain) enables optimal output level adjustment according to the connected headphones. Its compact aluminum alloy chassis, large volume control knob, and purely analog design make it a powerful yet affordable solution for building a desktop Hi-Fi listening system.
