XCITE XBS50-4 Speaker Driver Exciter

The XCITE XBS50-4 is a vibrating speaker designed to convert an audio signal into mechanical vibrations that are transmitted directly to a surface. It delivers 250W into 4 ohms, utilising an FEA-optimised, low-mass neodymium magnetic circuit and a 7.2cm dual voice coil to ensure rapid and controlled movement of the inertial mass.

XCITE XBS50-4: Optimised magnetic circuit

The XBS50-4 features a lightweight neodymium magnetic circuit, which has been optimised using FEA simulation to refine the magnetic flux distribution, thereby improving responsiveness whilst minimising energy loss. This approach is further enhanced by the integration of a 7.2cm dual voice coil, allowing for increased excursion capacity whilst maintaining precise control over movement.

XCITE XBS50-4: Double suspension

The system is built around a dual steel suspension, which stabilises the movement of the inertial mass whilst limiting mechanical distortion under heavy load, thereby ensuring consistent sound reproduction even at high power levels. This design enables the system to deliver 250W of power into a 4-ohm load.
