The Kiwi Ears Halcyon are premium tribrid in-ear monitors featuring one of the brand's most advanced architectures. They combine a 10mm dynamic driver with a composite diaphragm, three balanced armature drivers, and an innovative MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) semiconductor driver dedicated to ultra-high frequencies. This 1DD + 3BA + MEMS configuration delivers exceptionally detailed sound reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum, with powerful bass, natural mids, and highly precise treble. The Halcyon adopts Kiwi Ears' signature sound profile, featuring an 8dB sub-bass boost combined with a neutral and analytical presentation throughout the rest of the frequency range. They offer an impedance of 29Ω, a sensitivity of 109dB at 1kHz/mW, an extended frequency response from 10Hz to 42kHz, and a distortion rate below 1%. Their design is based on an aerospace-grade aluminum shell and a detachable 122cm 4N single-crystal copper cable using CIEM 0.78mm connectors. This cable features interchangeable 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm terminations, allowing the Halcyon to adapt to different audio setups.

The Kiwi Ears Halcyon intelligently combines multiple technologies to take advantage of the unique strengths of each.
The low-frequency range is handled by a 10mm dynamic driver with a composite diaphragm, designed to reproduce sub-bass with power and control while maintaining excellent low-frequency extension.
The midrange relies on two custom DEK-series balanced armature drivers specifically tuned to deliver natural vocals and realistic timbre. Treble frequencies are reproduced by a custom WBFK balanced armature driver developed specifically for high frequencies and paired with the MEMS driver to achieve exceptional extension and extremely high resolution.
Kiwi Ears Halcyon: MEMS Technology for a New Generation of High-Frequency Reproduction
The Halcyon is among the first in-ear monitors to utilize a tribrid architecture integrating a true MEMS driver. Unlike traditional loudspeakers that rely on a voice coil and diaphragm, this technology is based on a silicon chip that uses a piezoelectric effect to generate sound.
This design allows the MEMS driver to operate at extremely high speed with near-zero phase distortion. It excels particularly in reproducing ultra-high frequencies, delivering an impressive amount of micro-detail, spatial information, and airiness. Combined with the other driver technologies featured in the Halcyon, it contributes to an exceptionally precise and highly resolving sound reproduction.
Kiwi Ears Halcyon: A Balanced and Professional Sound Signature
True to Kiwi Ears' acoustic philosophy, the Halcyon offers a sound signature inspired by modern studio monitors.
The sub-bass benefits from a carefully controlled 8dB boost that is limited below 200Hz to prevent any coloration of the midrange. This approach delivers deep and physical bass while preserving the clarity of vocals and instruments.
The mids remain neutral and precise, while a presence gain centered around 3kHz ensures excellent intelligibility and a highly realistic sound image. The result is a detailed, coherent presentation perfectly suited for both audiophile listening and professional applications.
Kiwi Ears Halcyon: High-Quality Detachable Cable
The Halcyon uses a standard detachable CIEM 0.78mm connector system, offering excellent modularity and allowing users to replace or upgrade the cable according to their preferences.
The supplied cable is made from 4N single-crystal copper to ensure optimal audio signal transmission.
