Speaker Driver Coaxial Woofer with Silk Dome Tweeter 40W 8 Ohm 88dB 90Hz - 20000Hz Ø10.2cm
The Dayton Audio CX120-8 is a coaxial wideband loudspeaker providing high quality reproduction in a compact format. It incorporates both a 4" woofer and a 3/4" silk dome tweeter. The speaker offers a good balance between rigidity, low mass and damping, developing a natural and soft sound. The silk dome tweeter delivers detailed and accurate high frequencies with very low distortion. In addition, the tweeter's optimized placement and flare reduce phase problems with the phase driver, a common problem with coaxial speakers. The CX120 has been designed for use as a full-range bookshelf speaker, to extend the frequency response of a 3-way system or even for a Car Audio system.

- Optimized rubber surround for reduced break up in the midrange band

- High energy ferrite magnet for greater cone control and improved efficiency

- Silk dome provides detail and clarity of high frequencies
- Coaxially mounted to pole piece of woofer cone
- Optimized placement and trimmed flaring to reduce phase issue interaction with woofer
- Strong neodymium magnet
- Trimmed flared throat to minimize phase issues causing suck-out with woofer
