FANGSOUND PROMETHEUS Portable DAC Headphone Amplifier

The FangSound Prometheus is a portable DAC in dongle format, designed to provide high-resolution audio conversion and powerful amplification in a compact form factor. It is based on the ESS ES9039PRO chip, renowned for its high level of precision, wide dynamic range, and low distortion. Compatible with audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, it allows you to enjoy Hi-Res files from a computer, smartphone, or tablet via USB-C.

Its amplification stage delivers up to 2x1W under 32 ohms, with a maximum output voltage of 6Vrms, allowing it to efficiently drive many headphones and earphones. In terms of connectivity, it features a 3.5mm single-ended headphone output as well as a 4.4mm balanced headphone output, making it suitable for different cables and uses. Its technical performance includes THD+N of 0.0004%, a signal-to-noise ratio of 128dB, and a dynamic range of 128dB (A-weighted).

Its CNC-machined aluminum chassis ensures durability and efficient heat dissipation while maintaining a lightweight design of only 33g. Supplied with a USB-C to USB-C cable, the FangSound Prometheus is a compact solution for improving the audio quality of both mobile and desktop sources.
