AUDIOPHONICS PRE-03
Preamplifier Relay Volume Control Input Selector Bluetooth 5.0
The Audiophonics PRE-03 preamplifier is an extremely versatile device at a more than affordable price. If it is first presented as a preamplifier, it also offers volume control and input selector features, with additional Bluetooth 5.0 support.
Relay volume control
Real evolution of this Audiophonics PRE-03, it integrates now a volume control and source selector with relay. This one allows a precise control, without loss, and without sound coloration.
Connectivity
The Audiophonics PRE-03 proposes at the same time a classic connectivity with 4 stereo RCA inputs but adds to that the Bluetooth in version 5.0, thanks to its Qualcomm QCC3008 chip, supporting moreover the codec of transmlssion aptX. It is thus possible to stream its music remotely from a device having this connectivity like a smartphone or a tablet for example. The 5.0 version of Bluetooth ensures excellent stability and transmission speed for quality listening. A Bluetooth antenna is provided to improve the transmission.
The output side is simply one stereo RCA to connect the PRE-03 to an amplifier. The unit's power supply circuit incorporates efficient multi-channel regulation to significantly reduce noise.
Power circuit
The quality of the power supply being decisive in the quality of the sound reproduction of an audio system, the Audiophonics PRE-03benefits from a neat circuit. Thus, it integrates an efficient multi-cana regulation allowing to limit considerably the noise as well as an EMI / RFI filter allowing to filter the interferences which could generate noise.
Simple but effective design
In terms of design and ergonomics, the Audiophonics PRE-03 is simple and efficient. The components are integrated in a robust brushed aluminium housing with the most beautiful effect. A 51 x 20mm front panel screen displays both the active source from the 4 available and the sound volume. The white LED display provides excellent readability for easy adjustments. The unit also comes with an infrared remote control, allowing access to all settings, including volume adjustment, mute mode and source selection.
The IR receptor is very sensitive to directionnality. The remote will not work if the transmitter angle is too wide.
