ULTRA-MINI class D amplifier module 2x3W
On this extremely compact circuit (2.4 by 1.5 centimeters) is a complete and functional class D amplifier.
The latter offers a power 2x3W from a 5V supply. A surprising performance for its size, which opens to a multitude of practical applications. Whether to add an amplifier stage to an existing device in order to equip it with an additional output to build a miniature amplifier from zero to accompany a mobile reader at a small price or a active speaker DIY project ...
This module thus will delight DIYers worn on experimentation and repair, as well as professionals wishing to strictly control the form-factor of a handheld device.
Chip amplification PAM8043
The Ultra-Mini operates through an amplification chip PAM8043. This chip takes advantage dune building filterless (without low-pass filter) and can drive speakers directly, which considerably limits the circuit size while maintaining good audio quality.
The PAM8403 chip is rated at 3W THD 10% for a load of 4Ω with a 5V supply. Formidable performance, given its size and low power consumption. The Ultra-Mini module is therefore entirely appropriate to run on battery or to be simply connected to a USB-type diet.
Stand-By Function
Despite its compactness, the PAM8403 amplifying chip is still equipped with a connector for stand-by signal. This switch is integrated into the circuit of the Ultra-Mini. We can therefore easily connect a standby switch to equip its projects of such a function.
