AKM AK4493S DAC
The main change in the E30 II Lite is its digital/analog conversion stage. This uses a single AKM AK4493S DAC chip. This is itself an improvement on the AK4493 chip. It also benefits from proprietary Velvet Sound technology, ensuring sound reproduction as precise as it is rich in detail.
XMOS XU208 USB Interface
The USB-B input on the E30 II LITE makes using the DAC simple and powerful. This is combined with an XMOS XU208 interface and a particularly stable and reliable Thesycon custom driver. In addition, this input ensures extremely low jitter. Combining this interface with the AK4493S DAC also means that the E30 II LITE can support high-resolution audio streams, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.
Simple and effective connectivity
When it comes to connectivity, the E30 II LITE doesn't overdo it, but it does offer a range of connections just as complete as the E30 II, making it easy to integrate into the vast majority of audio systems. Inputs include USB-B, Toslink optical and coaxial. The output is simply stereo RCA.

5V power supply
The E30 II LITE uses a practical 5VDC power supply. This means it can be used almost anywhere and can be connected to a computer, a phone charger or a powerbank. The built-in protection circuit protects the E30 II LITE and will display an error message in the event of a wrong power supply.
Discrete LNRD circuit
To solve the problem of noise that can be caused by the 5V power supply, the E30 II LITE includes a discrete LNRD (Low Noise Reference Driver) circuit. This filters out the noise from the power supply to provide an ultra-low-noise, perfectly stable electrical signal to the audio circuits. As a result, the background noise of the E30 II LITE is less than 1.9µV.
PCM & DSD Filters
The E30 II LITE provides six PCM filters and two DSD filters. These allow you to adjust the sound reproduction of the device according to your preferences and your audio system.
Auto ON/OFF function
With its Auto ON/OFF function, the E30 II LITE switches on and automatically selects the input receiving a valid audio signal. Similarly, if the device receives no signal for one minute, it switches off automatically.
Pure DAC mode
The E30 II LITE has a function that locks its maximum output level. This means it can operate in pure DAC mode. In pure DAC mode, DSD signals bypass the DATT Soft Mute and Delta Sigma modulator to deliver optimum sonic performance.
Volume control
Topping's DAC also incorporates a volume control, allowing the volume to be adjusted over a range from -99dB to 0dB using the remote control. The E30 II LITE can therefore be connected directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers.
