LAiV Audio Crescendo BEAT Dual Output Linear Power Supply 15V / 5V Silver
The LAiV Audio Crescendo BEAT is a linear power supply designed to provide a stable DC voltage to Hi-Fi and electronic devices. It features two outputs that can be used simultaneously, delivering respectively 15V / 2A and 5V / 3A, in order to power two devices from a single unit.
Designed for installations combining several devices requiring a DC power supply, the Crescendo BEAT relies on a 70VA toroidal transformer, 17990µF filtering, and a linear architecture designed to limit electrical disturbances. Its two outputs thus allow the power supply of several elements to be centralized within a single system.
LAiV Audio Crescendo BEAT: toroidal transformer and linear regulation
The power supply uses a 70VA toroidal transformer, combined with Schottky diode rectification and a total filtering capacitance of 17990µF. This architecture conditions the current before it passes into a two-stage linear regulation, applied separately to the two outputs. The first stage reduces the ripple and variations resulting from rectification, while the second refines the voltage delivered to the connected devices. The output noise thus reaches ≤ 10µVrms at no load and ≤ 50µVrms at full load, with a ripple rejection greater than 82dB.
LAiV Audio Crescendo BEAT: outputs and integrated protections
The Crescendo BEAT simultaneously delivers 5V / 3A and 15V / 2A. The 5V output uses a DC 5.5 / 2.1mm connector and the 15V output a DC 5.5 / 2.5mm connector, while two 50cm DC cables are supplied for connecting the devices. The power supply integrates protections against overcurrents, overvoltages, overheating, and short circuits in order to limit the risks associated with abnormal operating conditions. The IEC C14 mains input accepts networks of 100 to 127V or 220 to 240V, at 50 or 60Hz, while a T2A fuse completes the electrical protection.
LAiV Audio Crescendo BEAT: aluminum chassis and passive cooling
The Crescendo BEAT adopts an aluminum chassis combined with passive cooling, without a fan. This design avoids adding mechanical ventilation noise and allows its integration into a Hi-Fi installation where the power supply remains placed near the connected devices. Available in black or silver finish, it combines two DC power supplies in a single enclosure to simplify the organization of an audio system.
