With the TC44Pro E3, DD HiFi unveils a portable DAC, the direct successor to the TC44Pro E2. The latter includes two jack outputs, 4.4 and 3.5 mm, as well as a USB-C input. It features not one, but two CS43198 DACs, enabling efficient digital-to-analogue conversion of the audio signal for clear, rich and accurate playback. The TC44Pro E3 supports high sampling rates up to PCM 32-bit 384kHz and DSD256. On the amplification side, this device includes two SGM8262-2 chips for an output power of 510mW under 32Ω, providing more than enough power to drive even the most demanding headphones.
ddHiFi TC44Pro E3: Dual CS43198 DAC
For its digital-to-analogue conversion stage, the TC44Pro E3 uses two Cirrus Logic CS43198 chips, ensuring high dynamic range, low distortion and excellent channel isolation while supporting signals up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256.
ddHiFi TC44Pro E3: 510mW output power
The amplification stage of the TC44Pro E3 is based on two SGM8262-2 chips, providing up to 510 mW at 32Ω, capable of driving even the most power-hungry headphones on the market.
ddHiFi TC44Pro E3: Extended connectivity
The TC44Pro E3 offers two outputs, a balanced 4.4 mm jack and an unbalanced 3.5 mm jack, to accommodate different types of headphones or earphones. While the 4.4 mm port offers better performance and higher output power, the 3.5 mm port ensures much broader compatibility, allowing you to use the TC44Pro E3 with a wide range of devices.
ddHiFi TC44Pro E3: Ergonomic volume and gain control
The TC44Pro E3 was designed with ergonomics in mind, featuring three buttons on the front panel that can be easily operated with one hand. The 60-step volume control buttons are positioned separately from the gain selection button to prevent accidental switching.
