Power Cable Schuko to IEC C15 Copper 102SSC Silver 1.5m
This is the Audiophonics Obsidian power cable, designed and assembled by hand in our workshop in France. A top-of-the-range model offering exceptional performance, it uses only the highest quality components to ensure perfect, stable transmission of the electrical signal, with no added noise. It's the ideal model for cleanly powering your most sensitive HiFi equipment so as not to alter the sound quality of your audio system.
Oyaide Vondita cable
This Audiophonics Obsidian mains cable incorporates a high-quality Oyaide Vondita cable. It provides excellent electrical conductivity thanks to its three twisted 102SSC copper conductors, each with a cross-section of 4mm². Each conductor is insulated with a polyolefin sheath, then the whole assembly is shielded with copper foil. Finally, there is a second polyolefin sheath and a PVC sheath.
To dress and protect the cable, we've selected a magnificent black nylon braided sheath. A Viablue Filter 16 ferrite, installed on the IEC connector side, reduces electromagnetic interference and the noise induced by it.
Viborg VF504AG / VE504AG connectors
The Audiophonics Obsidian is equipped with a Viborg VE504AG Schuko (Type E/F) connector and a Viborg VF504AG IEC C15 connector. These complete the cable while maintaining a high level of conductivity, thanks to high-purity silver contacts (99.998%). They are also cryogenically treated to further improve conductivity and transmission stability.
These connectors are insulated using high-performance, hard-wearing Bayer-2805 polycarbonate, with a unique, modern design thanks to its transparent red colour. The body of the connectors is then covered with a magnificent aluminium and carbon fibre insert.
