The iFi Audio ZEN One Studio is a DAC designed for music production setups and home listening. Without a headphone amplifier or volume control, its architecture is focused on the conversion of digital sources and is used with a dedicated amplifier or active speakers. Its compact enclosure allows integration into a studio, a control room or a home audio system.
iFi Audio ZEN One Studio: Burr Brown DAC chip
The ZEN One Studio uses a Burr Brown True Native conversion chip, capable of processing data without altering its original format. Its 16-core XMOS processor supports streams up to PCM 32bit / 384kHz, DSD256 as well as full MQA decoding, allowing it to be paired with a computer, audio software, a digital recorder or a compatible network player.
iFi Audio ZEN One Studio: Digital clock management
The Global Master Timing clock integrates a buffer memory intended to reduce jitter coming from the source before conversion. This clock signal management thus limits the transmission of digital instabilities to the analog output, in order to maintain a consistent conversion with the various connected sources.
iFi Audio ZEN One Studio: Balanced outputs
The output stage adopts a balanced architecture in order to limit distortion and noise during the transmission of the analog signal. The ZEN One Studio can be connected to active speakers or a headphone amplifier via its XLR or balanced 4.4mm jack outputs, which allows its integration both in a monitoring chain and in a headphone listening system.
iFi Audio ZEN One Studio: Bluetooth connectivity
In addition to its wired digital inputs, the ZEN One Studio integrates high-definition Bluetooth reception. Its chip supports the aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, LDAC and LHDC/HWA codecs, while the high-gain antenna stabilizes the link with a smartphone, a digital audio player or another compatible source. This connectivity notably allows listening to pre-mixes from a mobile device without adding a physical link to the system.
