MINIDSP FLEX HTx
Audio DSP Processor 2x8 Channels SHARC ADSP21489 HDMI ARC eARC
Big brother of the Flex HT, the Flex HTx from MiniDSP is a 2x8-channel multichannel audio processor perfect for integration into a home theater or multichannel sound system. It features 16 analog inputs, 8 on RCA connectors and 8 on balanced 6.35mm jacks. There are also numerous digital inputs, including USB-B, Toslink optical, SPDIF coaxial and HDMI ARC/eARC. It features a full suite of audio processing functions such as bass management, parametric equalizers, crossover adjustment, advanced biquad programming and delay/gain settings.
In terms of performance, the MiniDSP FLEX HTx achieves a very low level of noise and distortion, making it a device of choice. HDMI ARC/eARC and USB inputs support 8 channels of linear PCM. A front-panel OLED display and volume control knob provide easy control of the device. Settings can be easily modified using Stereo Dirac Live® acoustic correction software (DIRAC license not included, but available here).
Output is via 8 channels on RCA connectors or 8 channels on balanced 6.35mm jacks, with THD+N of just 0.00014% and 0.0001% respectively.
Please note that Flex HTx does not support bitstream decoding (e.g. Dolby/DTS). The audio source must be capable of producing linear PCM (LPCM) for multichannel support via HDMI.
