The SMSL D2R MK2 is a balanced DAC designed to handle the digital-to-analogue conversion of high-resolution audio streams, utilising a ROHM BD34302EKV chip combined with an XMOS XU-316 interface to ensure precise signal processing. It supports PCM formats up to 32-bit/768 kHz as well as DSD512, whilst maintaining a measured distortion of 0.00013% (-117 dB), thereby preserving signal linearity across the entire audible spectrum.

It combines a segmented internal architecture, a linear power supply and advanced digital signal processing, ensuring stable and consistent conversion. This approach enables it to shape the output signal with precise timing control, whilst maintaining broad compatibility with modern digital sources.
