DAYTON AUDIO EX25HRDS-4 IMS™ Dual-Suspension Exciter Transducer 20W 4 Ohm Ø25mm
The DAYTON AUDIO EX25HRDS-4 IMS™ is a 25mm miniature exciter transducer designed to turn a wide variety of surfaces into sound sources. Thanks to its compact size of less than 5cm in diameter and approximately 1.4cm in height, it allows audio reproduction to be easily integrated into applications where space is limited. It features a High-Roll dual high-excursion suspension that provides greater output than most miniature-type exciters, as well as a neodymium magnet motor and a proprietary 2.54cm voice coil. Its 20W RMS power handling and 4-ohm impedance make it suitable for use with small amplifiers, particularly Class D amplifiers. It is therefore suitable for numerous DIY projects and applications designed to turn an existing surface into a sound reproduction system.
DAYTON AUDIO EX25HRDS-4: A Compact Design for Integrated Audio Reproduction
The EX25HRDS-4 IMS™ combines a neodymium magnet motor with a proprietary 2.54cm voice coil to generate a strong magnetic flux and achieve high sensitivity compared to exciters of similar dimensions. This design also helps reduce power requirements and allows the use of small amplifiers without sacrificing output level. The voice coil and cooling vents allow the EX25HRDS-4 to handle up to 20W RMS while maintaining a slim profile. Its High-Roll dual suspension contributes to increasing the output level of this compact exciter.
DAYTON AUDIO EX25HRDS-4: Interchangeable IMS™ Mounting System
The IMS™ (Interchangeable Mounting System) allows different configurations, positions, and exciters to be tested in order to find the combination best suited to each project. Each EX25HRDS-4 IMS™ is supplied with a threaded mounting bracket that can be permanently installed on the surface using either two screws or the pre-applied 3M VHB™ adhesive. The exciter assembly can then be screwed onto this bracket. This interchangeable mounting system makes it possible to perform A/B tests between different exciters and easily replace a defective module without risking damage to the project or the exciters.
