ALSOZONE PAM258 8-Channel Power Amplifier TPA3255 8x 260W 4 Ohm
The ALSOZONE PAM258 is a eigh-channel power amplifier designed to power a 5.1 home cinema system. It delivers up to 260W per channel and relies on TPA3255 chips, which integrate MOSFETs in their output stage. The PBTL architecture increases the available current, while the PFFB technology helps control distortion and stabilize the amplification behavior.
Each channel features two independently adjustable gain levels, in order to adapt the amplifier to the sources and speakers of the installation. This multichannel design centralizes the amplification of the different channels and allows their level to be adjusted according to the home cinema configuration.
ALSOZONE PAM258: 8x260W Amplification
The ALSOZONE PAM258 is a multichannel power amplifier designed for 5.1 home cinema installations. Part of the PAMX series, it delivers 260 W per channel and can reach a peak power of 450W per channel at 2Ω. Its amplification relies on TPA3255 chips, which integrate the MOSFETs of their output stage, combined with a PBTL architecture and PFFB feedback in order to increase the available current while controlling distortion.
ALSOZONE PAM258: Audiophile Architecture
In PBTL mode, two half-bridges operate in parallel on each channel, which increases the available current and reduces the output resistance of the power stage integrated into the TPA3255 chips. The PFFB technology complements this architecture by contributing to the stability of the amplification with different loads. The GaN switching power supply is designed to deliver high power in a compact format; the TDK, ELNA and Rubycon capacitors, as well as the flat-wire inductors, contribute to the stability of the power supply and to the operation of the whole unit.
ALSOZONE PAM258: Settings and System Integration
Each channel features two gain levels, which allows the amplification to be adapted individually to the characteristics of the sources and speakers. The trigger input and output allow coordinated power-on with other compatible devices, while the Auto On/Off function activates the amplifier when an audio signal is detected and turns it off after 20 minutes without signal. A front-panel control retains priority for operation independent of the automatic trigger.
