LHY AUDIO AS6 Network Switch Black

With the AS6, LHY Audio offers us a network switch, an evolution of the SW6-SFP model, including 5 RJ45 ports, one of which benefits from digital isolation, a fibre optic SFP port and a BNC input connected to the integrated 10MHz OCXO clock. All of this is housed in an elegant anodised aluminium enclosure machined from solid material and designed to separate AC current processing, DC current processing and audio signal processing.

LHY Audio AS6: Improved power supply

The AS6 differs most from its predecessor in terms of its power supply. Instead of the Talema 15VA encapsulated transformer, the AS6 uses a 30VA Multicomp transformer coupled to an RFI suppression filter. Once transformed, the current passes through a high-speed voltage rectifier, a 3-stage CLC filter circuit and, finally, a LT3042 + PNP linear voltage regulator. This multi-stage processing ensures a perfectly stable power supply without the slightest parasitic noise or artefact.

LHY Audio AS6: OCXO clock and connectivity

In terms of signal processing, the LHY Audio AS6 offers 5 RJ45 ports, one of which is digitally isolated, and an optical SFP port. But that's not all: the AS6 has a high-precision 10 MHz OCXO clock at its heart, itself connected to a 50Ω BNC input if you wish for your network switch to be synchronised to an external clock.
