MUSICIAN MONOCEROS III Balanced Class A Preamplifier Black
The Musician Monoceros III is an analog preamplifier designed entirely around discrete components, combining THD+N distortion of 0.0003% with an R2R ladder resistor network for volume control. This architecture promotes accurate reproduction and consistent channel balance across a 60 dB control range.
Designed for Hi-Fi systems with several analog sources, it offers two XLR stereo inputs, one RCA stereo input as well as XLR and RCA outputs. Its CNC-machined aluminum chassis enhances the overall rigidity while limiting the influence of electromagnetic and radiofrequency interference.
Musician Monoceros III: A fully discrete architecture
The Musician Monoceros III is a preamplifier built around a fully discrete architecture. This design allows each stage of the signal path to be optimized, while the use of matched precision resistors ensures good symmetry between channels and helps limit harmonic distortion to 0.0003% THD+N.
Musician Monoceros III: R2R volume control
Volume level adjustment uses an R2R ladder resistor network, consistent with the discrete approach adopted for the entire circuit. This structure allows precise volume control across a 60 dB range, while maintaining good consistency between channels at every listening level.
Musician Monoceros III: Suitable connectivity
The Monoceros III features two XLR stereo inputs and one RCA stereo input, allowing several balanced or unbalanced analog sources to be connected. Its XLR stereo and RCA stereo outputs then make it easy to pair with various power amplifiers or Hi-Fi systems.
