MUSICIAN PISCES III Digital Interface Black

The Musician Pisces III is a digital interface designed to transmit audio streams to an external DAC, particularly an R‑2R DAC. It reorganizes and calibrates the digital signals to reduce clock jitter, thereby contributing to a more stable transmission and a more transparent reproduction. Its architecture combines an ARM STM32F446 controller, FPGA processing and custom active oscillators.

Musician Pisces III: High-resolution inputs and outputs

The USB input supports PCM up to 1536 kHz as well as DSD up to DSD1024. On the output side, the AES, optical and coaxial connections transmit PCM up to 24bit / 192kHz and DSD64 in DoP format, while the I²S output supports PCM up to 1536 kHz and DSD up to DSD1024. This versatility makes it possible to adapt the Pisces III to the digital inputs available on the associated DAC.

Musician Pisces III: I²S output

The I²S output offers eight adjustable pinout modes to ensure compatibility with different devices. The mode is set according to the connected equipment, without manual intervention on the interface's pins; in case of no sound or noise, the next mode must be selected until a correct transmission is obtained. Once the compatible mode is found, it can be retained for later use with the same device.
