The LAiV Crescendo Chorus is an audiophile stereo power amplifier based on GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, designed to deliver extremely transparent and dynamic sound reproduction in a compact format. Operating in GaN-optimized Class D, it uses ultra-fast switching GaN transistors combined with high-performance modulation and driver stages, resulting in very low distortion, wide bandwidth, and excellent energy efficiency.
The amplifier offers two operating modes: a stereo mode delivering 2 x 50W into 8Ω (up to 2 x 80W into 4Ω), and a bridge mono mode providing 120W into 8Ω (also stable at 4Ω and down to 2Ω) with a fully balanced architecture. In terms of connectivity, it features balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog inputs, as well as speaker outputs via binding posts.
It also integrates a full protection system (DC, overcurrent, overheating) controlled by a microcontroller, a mode selector, LED indicators, and firmware update capability via microSD. Compact (approx. 1.5kg) and powered by a 160W internal power supply, it easily integrates into a modern HiFi or high-end desktop system.
The Crescendo Chorus is based on GaN (Gallium Nitride) amplification technology, a major evolution compared to traditional MOSFETs. These transistors enable much faster switching, drastically reducing losses and distortion. It features no fewer than 4 CoolGaN™ G5 65R080D2 units from Infineon.
Result: an output signal nearly identical to the original analog signal, with more natural reproduction, improved micro-dynamics, and enhanced accuracy across the entire spectrum. This technology also minimizes heat while maintaining excellent efficiency.
Beyond technical performance, the Chorus is designed for balanced musical reproduction. It integrates high-performance signal modulators and carefully optimized driver stages, aiming to combine analytical precision with listening pleasure.
Its wide bandwidth (up to 80 kHz) and low distortion rate (< 0.005 %) allow it to faithfully reproduce details while maintaining a smooth and natural listening experience.

The Chorus stands out for its versatility thanks to its two operating modes:
This mode also enables a dual mono configuration using two units, providing complete channel separation and an even wider and more precise soundstage.

The LAiV Crescendo Chorus integrates a complete microcontroller-driven protection system, ensuring reliable and safe operation under all conditions. It continuously monitors critical parameters such as DC offset at the output, overcurrent, and operating temperature, effectively protecting both the amplifier and connected speakers.
The unit also relies on an ultra-low noise 160W internal power supply, specifically designed to provide clean, stable, and instantly available current. This power quality plays a key role in overall amplifier performance by reducing interference and ensuring precise, dynamic, and controlled sound reproduction, even during demanding passages.
At startup, a full diagnostic is performed before activating the outputs, preventing any risk to connected equipment. Finally, the presence of a microSD port under the unit for firmware updates allows the device to evolve over time, ensuring long-term durability and compatibility with future improvements.

The Chorus offers simple and efficient connectivity, allowing it to integrate easily into most HiFi systems. It features a balanced XLR input ensuring excellent noise and interference immunity, as well as an unbalanced RCA input providing broad compatibility with many audio sources. Speaker outputs via binding posts ensure a reliable and secure connection to speakers.
Thanks to this versatility, the amplifier can be easily paired with a DAC or a preamplifier, whether in a high-end home system or a powerful desktop setup.
